"We have rented from the big chains before and the service has been variable, even poor. Luckily we stumbled across Traffic Self Drive by Googling it. As in the reviews, we also received a courteous service with prompt pick up at Heathrow and help with loading our luggage into the vehicle. We were grateful for this as we were travelling with a baby and a 3 year old. We also appreciate the free child seats. Finally, we want to mention that we got caught in traffic on the M25 back to Heathrow (a car caught on fire!) and returned the car late. There were no late excess charges. The driver also returned our spectacle case that we mislaid! We also loved the automatic Hyundai."

The major car hire chains offer convenience of location and quality of vehicle while local car hire companies often offer better prices but lower convenience and/or quality. With Traffic Self-Drive I am pleased to say that no compromises at all were required: convenience was outstanding (the car was at Heathrow airport waiting for me straight after clearing customs – no transit to the off-airport compound), cost (the best price I could find and far better than any major car hire chain company) and quality (a modern, low mileage valeted vehicle).
